The Bridge

Open to all students of the 12-week program

The “Advanced workshop” is offered a few times a year to people in the 12-week program who want to learn to sustain a larger project.

But what if you want to go deeper in the terrain of your writing, but aren’t quite ready to commit to a larger project?

~Maybe you have several pieces of writing and can sense that there’s some larger whole forming, but you aren’t yet sure what that is.

~Maybe you feel connected to many possible projects, or even genres, and you don’t know how to land in one.

In this workshop, you'll learn techniques to:

  • Discover the connective themes and shapes intrinsic to your writing

  • Build the skills to follow your impulses and develop a cohesive writing terrain

  • Know how to spiral back into the 12-week course to support a growing project

By the end of the three sessions, you'll be connected to a larger project with a sense of where to go next.

Please note: This workshop is kept small.

Each session will include at home writing (about 30 minutes/week) This is an intimate workshop with small group discussion and some sharing of work. Sessions are recorded if you need to miss one.
