Open to all students of the 12-week program

Advanced Workshop

This workshop is for people who have a specific idea of a project in mind (or just an inkling)

In this workshop, you'll learn techniques to:

  • Identify connections and structure that are forming within your writing and build on them to create larger work in the genre of your choice

  • Hone your notions of craft beyond what you might think is “good” or “bad” writing

  • Develop skills to organize yourself in the larger structure of your project without the overwhelm

  • Learn techniques of revising your work that are about deepening curiosity rather than “fixing”

  • Clarify your creative goals and work towards them effectively with a sense of ease.

Know where you're going in a larger project, while still remaining open to the process. This is a repeatable workshop that participants can return to as they complete their larger projects.

Please note: Each session will include at home writing (about 45-60 minutes/week) and small group sharing and supportive feedback beyond “popcorn.”

To create a sharing environment, attendance is essential. Sessions are recorded if you need to miss one.
